Here is my ugly duckling bnz. 41 Russian capture rifle with X on reciever, it's a rguns import that made its way to Lagara Arms, then to my house. Rifling is actually pretty good frosted; but good. Tossed on a At the front repro sling the cleaning rod came with the rifle. She isn't purdy; but she's mine. Ha!

Cool gun. You rarely see a Russian capture with that much putting. Either the Russians filtered them out, or they just didn’t capture many with battlefield pitting.

Did you get it from the dealer like in that condition? Looks like it’s sitting in a Yugoslavian stock. Also, the floor plate and housing have never matched on any RC I’ve handled, so I think that’s been swapped as an assembly.

Yes; I picked it up from Lagara Arms; paid I think 850. They advertised it as russian capture, it has the x on the receiver. Someone at some time tried cleaning up the pitting. I've had a couple Russian Capture rifles awhile back those were electro penciled in. This one fit the budget at the moment. Not sure about the stock; it's been sanded on the one side, but I posted a picture of the other side has some numbers or letters I couldn't really make out closer to the but plate. Bought it mainly to shoot. I heard rguns was a huge hit and miss when they had 98k's. The stock is numbered on the inside I just didn't take pictures of them. The previous rc guns I had never matched. Finding mostly correct to all correct rifles is a new venture for me. There is a bit of a stamp left on the take down disk on the right side my camera seems to blur out a little. It's hard to see. Here are two pictures of the left side on the receiver. The stock still has quite a bit of grease in all the corners of the inlets.

The mark on the stock is 1TRZ. It’s a known Yugo marking, and wouldn’t be at home on a Russian capture. Either Lagara or an importer swapped it out. It’s still a fine rifle and a good representative piece for a collection.

Ok; learning something new all the time here. Thanks you for the info. I am not going to make any effort to change this one up any. It's my range shooter.
