I found this clearing out a house and I would like help deciphering the German Nazi proof markings and also what is this I'm assuming gun barrel from. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also is there any value to this piece of history!?
I see '39 for a date. Typo? The blank is from Sächsische Gußstahl-Werke Döhlen, and it appears this is from a '39 f block Erma made rifle. It has the odd wrap around serial number in the barrel code band. Pretty neat.
