Wow, I had to go back and look at Kriegsmodell to read about this interesting variation! Very strange, yet very interesting and intriguing. I guess these rework dot44 variants don't show up often?

That is one of my favorites. Thanks for posting it Jack! Pic stickied.
I think that simply a regular dot build on a salvaged receiver.

They Don`t make Snipers like that , That is reall y Interesting Rework .
Is it what one would consider a Rework or Salvaged Receiver K98 ? Please Advise.
Best Regards

Dave, salvaged receiver run through production at Brno. I've seen them in other codes/dates, flavors, such as Vz.24 used receivers. They may occur alot in this block. Jack has a Vz.24 salvage like this too I believe.

...like this.....

Ah, yes like that. Great piece 337 :hail:

Do you know of another vz24 recycled receiver or is mine the one you were thinking of?

With Paul's data collection (of course) we know of about 20 of these including some with blank receivers, JPS receivers and even a Gew 98 receiiver. Many are RC's.

Thanks Craig ,I saw that Salvaged VZ24 Rec K98 Its really Awesome Rifle .I know of and MRFARB also of a VZ24 Rec that was Recycled and used for an SSZZA4 Rifle with Stamped & Etched Numbers. That is also a really Interesting Item . Thanks Again . Best Regards

Just saw something neat

Was at a show today and saw an ar44 receiver salvaged by dot. It was an ao block gun. My guess is Borisigwald sent it to Mauser and they forworded it to dot...
