Hey Gang
Found a real nice matching 44pyy k98k bayonet today. Blade hasn't been messed with at all. Looks like they used the back of the handle as a hammer a little bit but other than that super nice. Wood grips are gorgeous. No frog but what can you do. Added a couple more pictures of the different milling mark directions.

Yeah I got it from the local gun shop. He also has a real nice early SA dagger too with the hanger and a Knot. He's not sure what he wants for it yet tho

Yeah i've had numerous email on selling it. I'm going to as I really don't collect them. To be honest I really don't know what this maker is worth. I don't have a ballpark figure but I always try to be fair
 
Not for someone looking for an unupgradeable example of that code, which is quite scarce. I've never seen a nicer one than that. I thought the one I had was unupgradeable, until I saw this one. I put it at least $100 more than an unupgradeable '44 in another easier to find flavor, so at least $275 to $350. 31Pickmeup did exactly what I would have done: Knocked it up a little higher, allowed all to have a shot at getting it, then reduced it until it sold. Beautiful bayonet. Apparently he didn't have to reduce any, so congrats and good on him for listing it for the site which helped. :thumbsup:

Thanks Hambone, Denny and everyone else who threw in to help me figure out what to list it at. It will make a great piece in someones collection.
