    Current thread

Guys thanks for staying on point! With the last go around with the site owner, just playing it safe.
There is no limitation though to calling out bad rifles.

    Thanks,

    "cleaned" stock

Boy you hit one of the big topics that many collectors disagree on.
My own take on this was learned after many years but this is just my opinion.

    Unit marking

By the Gortz and Bryans book, that unit mark designates an infantry regiment and not a Jager detachment.
The designations were modified in the Weimar era.

    "grey blanket"

I have seen him purchase a bad bsw39 and honestly it was auctioned as is.
Case in point, he sells what he buys and he was not aware of the level of "humpery" on that rifle.

    The previous poster...

  15. current thread

Guys I appreciate all of your comments and all are dead on.
Trolls like this make it tough for collectors when all they care about is profit.

    Had to post this up.
I know many of you were watching that auction in Timonium last month.
Well we now know where the S/147G date went - right to GB.

Also see it on late DR issue, almost all of the ChdA issues, very late DRPs, etc.

  24. Rock Island Auction realized price - word of caution
