    congrats on your purchase. I think it would be safe to say that it was a war bond rifle since the firing pin is not a match. all mine came with clipped firing pins.

    That's about what I figured...saw one on line that's missing the bolt head and retaining screw and washer. Too bad...I seem to recall seeing those rifles for sale fairly regular just a few years...

    LGS has a K43

    I stopped by to do a pistol transfer and found a QVE 45 in the rack. The rcvr and bolt numbers don't match, no cleaning rod and I couldn't find any markings on the stock so I think its been sanded....
