Thanks guys, definitely not bothered by the bolt mismatch, just happy to have a nice German WW1 rifle! It did come with a muzzle cover, I'll upload a couple pics of it. Definitely need a correct sling and bayonet, a must for every rifle in my collection! Jordan I would certainly pick up...

My first Gew98 for the WW1 collection, 1916 WMO bolt mismatch

Hello, just wanted to share a recent addition to the WW1 collection, been wanting one of these for awhile. This will probably be my only example for now as it's not a primary focus of my collection, if I'm only going to have one it might as well be pretty. All matching except the cleaning rod...

    German Captured 1915 Mosin Nagant

Imperial M91's are my primary interest, that rifle is beautiful. Especially considering the factory matching stock and bolt, I've just about given up ever finding anything like that. Nice score!

    BNZ 43 possible local trade

Finally had a chance to take a few more pics. Added a nice sight hood that I picked up from mowzerluvr. Looks like a correct original cleaning rod numbered 39. My friend had this rifle for a few months and sent me some pics. After he mentioned wanting to sell, it got stuck in my head. Kept...

    BNZ 43 possible local trade

Picked up the rifle the other day, it definitely has some nice honest wear and I like it. The sling appears to have been installed for a long time but no way to prove that. Finally found the waffenampt on the stock, bottom side of the pistol grip. I had looked there a few times and missed it. I...
