Thank for the reassurance. Yeah, what’s your thoughts on the sight hood? I see that there’s a few sites that provide original sight hoods and cleaning rods. On the other hand I could leave the hood alone with no cleaning rod. Just want to say that I really happy I found this forum! Thank you...

Sellier stats it’s a yugo capture k98 and has the factory 44 stamped with the yugo crest. Stats it’s a 1942 but how can you tell such thing for sure if it’s a 42 and serial number starts with J119xx on the stock and barrel only. Can you tell by the serial # then? No sight hood for a 42 odd? Also...
