    I found a few more markings on the stock while looking for any signs of sanding, which I could not. All edges of the stock were crisp and sharp. The end by the butt plate looks like it is dried up and mildly rough to the touch like old aged wood.

    NathanLM....thanks for the info. I was trying to see if I could find any sanding marks on the stock myself before posting photos. Where do you believe you saw some sanding. I can take some more pics and post them to make sure.
