Another nice one bjarne! You have quite an impressive collection. Good work!

The welded H band is an interesting variation.

Very nice Bjarne! Congrats. Welded H bands turn up in the r block. Pic stickied for ref.

First time i had the rifle in my hands i thought the same!
But there is no repair on the reciver, but it sure looks funny

Forgot to mention the round follower is also subcontracted with the letter I,this sure is an weird bird!
Cant find out what happend with the reciver?
Maybe there has been an scope mount on this rifle ore been drilled for one?,and then welded grinded down and then the dot 1943 has been stamped?

Without wanting to become a PITA, to me it looks like two threaded holes in the receiver ring were filled with screws, then ground flush and numbers partially re-stamped or engraved. The "4" looks unusual as the black part of the upswing doesn't line up with the pink part. I still wonder why there are grinding marks right where the receiver is stamped "dot" and "1944". The "o" in "dot" seems off.

You could bend a wire and feel around the inside of the receiver for a evidence of a hole of plug screw. If the receiver ring has been D/T'ed for a scope mount, the question arises why nothing like it has been done to the back end of the receiver.

Is it because of my old eyes or do floor plate and trigger guard actually have different fonts for "4".

Nevertheless, a very nice rifle an definitely a collectable.

Indeed, expanded view of the receiver suggest d/t, and the milled floorplate + font are wrong...
