Portuguese M937 slings.

Any definitive consensus on the style of sling used on the M937A rifles? MP40 style like in Bruce's magnificent example: http://www.k98kforum.com/showthread.php?2382-M937A-Portuguese-with-original-sling

Or?

I think I have only ever seen ONE period photo of these, and that was at the test facility at Oberndorf pre-export.

This is the Portuguese sling that came on my M1937A. It may not be the first sling issued with the rifle but it is certainly the last sling used on the rifle by the Portuguese. I bought it with sling from SARCO in July 1994 for $275 plus $10 shipping. Matching except rod. D16355 bayonet bought separately.

Thanks Bill. I found another picture as well.

So, bought an MP38 sling to go on mine. I don't think there is a difference, except MAYBE length?

I'm currently after a sling for my fathers m937.
Does the mp38 sling fit?
