I just picked up this really cool little gem at an estate auction where they sold it all real estate and personal property and the owners found these four guns in the attic and all they for certain was that these had to have been here for at least 50 years and anyhow this lil gem cleaned up very nicely and shoots very well for a 101 year old rifle but Ive been chasing K98k mausers for some time and Ive never seen one of these befor and never knew they existed and Im just curious about how rare this lil rifle is and how much one might bring in really good condition but not a matching #s rifle thanks in advance for any help........

Value depends on condition, Danzig/13 is not a rare rifle, but it isn't common either, - many of these pre-war carbines survived in good condition, many were assigned to "safe" units that didn't see a lot of combat, telegraph, artillery, transport, cavalry, so although not many were made the ones that have survived are often in decent shape.

Much depends on the unit marking, cavalry is far more desirable than telegraph or some artillery unit. From observed examples the unit could range widely, cavalry to artillery, the stock condition is critical to value, dirty is far preferable to "cleaned".

Post some pictures.
