    I'm interested. Does Ballistol clean out corrosive salts as would have been left in the barrel by the ammo of the day? I used to clean many .303 Enfields and we were instructed to pour several pints of hot water down the barrel using a special funnel, or start cleaning with a mixture of water and oil, before using just oil. My 98k's still have shiny barrels so I assume whatever was used worked.
