That looks familiar. :biggrin1:

I owned that one years ago. I think the cocking piece is sabotage- over hardened at Steyr. Of course, the is conjecture on my part.
 
Was that one sanded?-I see a clear stock waffenamt but it the walnut looks so smooth in the photos.

No, I don't think so. All of the walnuts looks like that. It might have been cleaned of a shellac or varnish. The wood color looks a little off, but its probably just be the lighting in the photos.

I'm surprised how nice the bolt cutout looks. Its usually very sloppily done. Very nice bnz, indeed. :thumbsup:
 
Looks like a twin to my "r" block....mines solid walnut too, and the wood looks the same, very smooth, sharp stampings, same color.....

Nice rifle!
