    Default dot43 in walnut...

This one fits right in my wheel house.

The staining of the wood is most likely from iron in the tree when it was growing.
This has quickly been moving up on my "favorite" list.

    Talking dot-43

I have to say thats one purty rifle. I've seen other walnut stocks "lacking" for the lack of a better term no grain to speak of. Just a smokey line running up through the wood.
That stock is as crisp as they get. Thanks for sharing.

    Unissued, IMO.
The wood is period stained, but never had a top coat of oil to darken the wood...
    beautiful open pores etc etc...

Those who might view Brünn I as a second rate manufacturer have obviously never seen a dot 1943 wearing walnut. Be still, my fluttering heart!

Actually g-block & xmas gift to self.
Speed milled front band, E/135 rear band. The blue is superb and yes, 'dot' did quality work.
    I appreciate the thumbs up...
