I just picked this up on a auction site, But I don't think this is a fake one. Whats your thoughts? I don't even know what truck it goes too. I always wanted one for the hell of it...any thoughts?

Look legit. Still has remnants of the stamp on it. DON'T clean it. They were also used on motorcycles. Here's my bike.

I won't clean it. I would like to research and see if I can tie this with A unit ? If that's possible. I love your bike, I always wanted one all decked out like yours...lucky man

First, get on a German vehicles forum or G503. Find out if German plates were like American hood numbers. The first two numbers denote type of vehicle (a hood number starting with 22 is a halftrack.) This could at least get you going in the right direction on id'ing your plate. I think you are going to find information on German tags sparse at best. Very cool plate by the way.

Great plate! Looks legit and is close to the typical motorcycle shape. My Kubel had a more square rear plate and my Kommandeurwagen was shaped like my bike but larger.

nice plate ,looks fished out of a lake but, still nice to see.
I own a set from a 1943 Kublewagen.
research can be tricky but, not impossible.
