Default Winter Triggers, manual insert, etc.

Winter Trigger 98 and Manual Addendum Insert.. Of interest the addendum states that the winter trigger can be used with the 98/40, which it will not fit...BILL

Jeff, I stickied it awhile back. At one time we had a very good thread at GB with a number of winter trigger examples, but they were all lost. If you've saved those we really do need a post with originals. You contributed a great deal to that discussion. My kpe:

Default Winter Trigger and Manual Addendum Insert

This partial s marked winter trigger for sale by a dealer. I think it is original. The most prolific fakes are S marked.

    Great post as it ages...

I'll add my latest here, eeu43. Original, but backplate is likely from an ofh trigger.

Jeff, my backplate on my tpe is different, more blue dipped, than the rest, which is phosphate. I wouldn't be concerned on yours (nice piece) as it is likely original like that.

Default Winter Triggers -originals and fakes thread

I thought we should start one of these. I just got this one in trade and have my doubts, but want to be sure. Does anyone really know these triggers? This one is eeu43. On the backplate, the "Mod. 98" is actually upside down? The thing I question is the fit. The backplate is very loose. What do you guys think. If anyone wants to do this, we could post photos of known originals and known fakes. I think it's been too long that this subject has not been clear. Here are the photos of the one I got.
