    Were all para's rust free? A friend has one that is mostly brown if I remember it right. JL

    Most that I have seen....The takedown model might have been regular steel, I really don't know, never had one...BILL

    I've got a take down model and I will post some pics. Most parts are blued but the blade is stainless.

    Hello Bill,

    It looks to be a nice gravity knife.
    There a lot of fakes around, if I'am not mistaken original examples have a Waffen prüfungs stamp on the pin, the examples I owned in the past had.
    Does yours have such a stamp on it?



    Btw these weren't an exclusive tool for the Fallschirmjäger, they were issued to everyone that used a parachute, this includes airgunners, pilots,...etc.

    Smile Type 2 Luft Gravity Knife

    Here's a pretty nice type 2 takedown model with the blued finish and stainless blade. No Luftamp on the spike on this type. My type 1 does have one however. Enjoy.
