well, the dot44 means it was made by waffen werke brunn 1 in 1944 The dot sheild visible on the barrel means the same. The small eagle/63 stamps are inspector stamps used during production. The serial # on the barrel doesnt look period. There may be another on the receiver. The scope and mount were added post war. Dot never made a long side rail sniper. Hope this helps..

No, I think it is a legitimate five digit NLB serial number.
