BCD 41. All matching Value. might sale.

How's it going guys. Want to see what you all might value my K98 BCD 41 at. It's all matching numbers an was a bring back. I do not have the bring back paperwork but the gentleman that brought it back wrote his rank name an date on the stock. From that I was able to look up the info on him an find his family. I spoke to his daughter an she confirmed it was his rifle and hand written. I really don't want to sale but are van has broke down an I have to sale to fix the van. Thanks in advance guys. Have a good one. Brad

Looks like its in high condition, but we need to see all of the numbered parts to help. Can't tell you much from these pics.

The rifle is coded bcd41 (Gustloff Werke 1941), but its actually assembled by Berlin-Lubecker Machineinfabrik in 1942 (so its really a duv42). Whats the serial number latter block?

You should be able to post the rest now., give it a shot. Looks like a nice rifle.

For what I have see in your pictures looks to be a nice rifle. Neat duel manufacture rifle. And the reason you can only post so many pictures is to prevent spammers on the site. Post here are on more threads and it will allow you to post more without issues. And being that you are new here too welcome too the forum from me. Glad too have you here.

More pics.

What you show is good, authentic, - it is a p-block (serialed in the duv/41 ranges, but made early in 1942)

Bradley its looks like a nice rifle. Do you really have to sale it though for car repairs? If so I'm sorry for that I have been there myself getting rid of stuff in the past too pay bills and fix stuff.

I'd hate to sell it too, you'll never get another this neat being dual manufacture marked. You can probably rebuild your van with what you get for this one, I suspect this one is worth in the high teens at a minimum.

If it's duv 42 ist good or bad. An why is it marked bcd 41. It's all new to me I picked it up a couple months ago. Was planing on keeping it forever as its part of history but are van decided to break down.

Its good. The receiver was marked bcd41 when it was made by Astrawerke (a supplier to Gustloff), but the receiver was delivered to BLM instead. This a known variation, and from your pics it is a very nice one.

I forgot to mention the bore looks great like a brand new rifle. Doesn't even look like it's been fired. I haven't took the front sight hood off yet to check the numbers. The front band spring match an looks like little numbers on the cleaning rod also match but hard to see. The only thing not numbered is the screwsame in the trigger guard an the butt plate.

In non-collector language what it means is the factory that made the receivers for (bcd) sent this receiver to a different factory to assemble (duv). These are not easy to find and many are not as nice as yours which makes yours valuable.

EDIT: Glad to see so many people giving you good info. :)

Man that other rifle looks good. I posted it on a couple groups on Facebook most say it's a nice piece. Then some say it's a regular bcd 41 an only worth 700-800. I've been offered 550-1200 for it so far. A lot say go to gunbroker but I don't have an account. I really don't want to sale but if I do I want it to go to a nice loving home.

Those prices offered are low, especially the 700-800. That's people looking for a steal. Even RC's are selling for $400-500. The $1200 one is closer but still way too low in my opinion.

I don't normally trust the facebook groups advise when they think Russian capture rifles are worth well over $700 too them. And $1200 is too low. A standard early BCD-41 piece alone in this condition are hard to find. Let alone a duel manufacture piece plus having the history too go with it. Don't let someone low ball you if you have to sell it let it go for whats it worth.

Be patient, you will get a good offer from this forum. I'd make an offer but I've already bought too many rifles this year, it's time to stop even though that voice in my head says "SEND HIM A PM, SEND HIM A PM."

Don't you hate when your mind does that. I hate when it does it an you think about it a couple days then go to act on it an the gun is gone.
