Thought it is time to show off with a nice find and give you an idea what to keep your eyes open for in 2016.
As per regulation, NO range markings.
Hensoldt marked container bears serial# of the scope.
Enjoy.

Wolfgang can please clarify , You mention the Dial being as Per Orders . If memory serves me correct I recall You told me ,You found in the Book Scharfschutzen in der Waffen SS had copies of Original Documents that it mentions Early Dials were marked 1-3 or 1-2-3 . Thank You and Best Regards.

What a great scope! Wow! Thank you for sharing it, also for seeing the correct scope container for the first time!

There you go. Not the original matching, but at least with an original front part. See the numbering of this part!

I do not have the book on hand. If memory serves me right, Jocher shows a information leaflet from about 1941 on treatment of sniper rifles.
The sniper rifles are factory zeroed at 200 meters. For other distances the point of aim has to be determined by the sniper. Adjustable distance dials, as used on hunting/sporting rifles, have proved of no value. The screw at the elevation adjustment is fixed (tightened) and it is not allowed to loosen that screw.
When not in use, the scope is to be carried in the leather container.

Objective Mount

That is nice scope Wolfgang. Thanks for pointing this out. Some how I missed this when originally posted.

Hi, unfortunately, I've just found this post. What you write is correct (so my Mentor), but where is this command ??.
Are there written sources or similar?
Regards Michael
