Hi, just like to add my rifle to the study. Its a 1937 BSW RC. Serial # 9556a, the barrel code is 351s with a 36 underneath. Is there any other info that would be helpful from a RC?

I own this rifle now but still can't get it out of Norway. It's safe there with a friend, someday it will come home.

Scored a late a-block 1937 RC off GunBroker tonight to replace the one I stupidly let go that I got from Dave 9 years ago. It actually sits in BSW stock and has a BSW gas shield. All I have to do is add capture screws and a sling. It will join the others in my newly repurposed rifle crate. I'll take better pics and add the barrel code when I get it.

I have a 1939 kriegsmarine BSW but the barreled action is sadly a BNZ 4

But the serial numbers on the BSW are 2369 and the takedown pin on the back is marked O.21205 with waffenamt eagle 4.

Lucky for me, my bands, furniture, bayonet lug, buttplate, and a couple of other items all match For the full stock set.

Mauser lover told me a couple months back that it is a captured k98 because On the buttplate the 2369 was scratched through and a -68277- was stamped over it. I had forgotten which country he stated does this but he said they only restamped a couple of parts and that was it. Besides that, none of the rifle had been refinished, no other markings were removed. And I recently disassembled the rifle to inspect and clean some dirt and dust from the cracks and edges.

Honestly, it would be really nice to get a BSW barreled receiver and other E4 parts to get it close to matching again.

Yes. Is it rebarreled to .30/06 or still 8mm? 8mm more valuable. Most Nav pieces were left in 8mm.

Mauser lover said they might still be in Norway because of current laws about importing barreled receivers.
I’d love to visit and see if it’s possible to get the original barrel from one of the warehouses. But it has a BNZ4 8mm barreled action

1937 RC BSW 8973 a-block. Stock, gas shield, front screw, rear sight base, ejector box, and rear sight slide are BSW.

Barrel code is: 36 S 223; 3x e/4

I think someone tried to 'restore' this one with BSW parts. Upon closer inspection, the follower, rear sight base and slide, and the ejector box are also e/BSW. That's too many to be chance. The stock lacks the typical Russian stamped serial number in the wood as well.
