Wow, not only a sweet rifle, but I LOVE the Feld Division camo jacket, and that helmet! Did the net come on the helmet?

tks. The FD jacket has the original camo shoulder straps, but in hbt. Jacket is the "second variant" of lighter zeltbahn weight material, but in Luft. pattern. That's an original unissued net I put on the helmet. I've got a named and researched helmet from D-Day (or June 9) that has the original net wired on it. I'll post that one up.

Love the jacket, love the rifle!

I actually have its sister rifle 89XXq which is also a E/L. I'm going to have to dig it out and post a few pics...

Ham- Very nice as usual on your goodies. Curious about the toning on the receiver?
Here's another. Is this just the blue on the receiver and how it has aged?

BiO, it is the finish and steel content that caused that IMHO, not age.

Tks Mauser. BiO, you know, on looking at it, it could be age as well, the effect of oxidation on that receiver and finish. It looks like a mild "plum" as seen on other hardened parts. But it could be browning from age, perhaps even combined with that. It's very distinctive on byf, more so than some other makers. Direct sunlight really shows it.
