I have an all matching Portuguese 41 in Excellent condition, MM bayonet, serial number H3326.
I don't have the bayonet number available at the moment.

I had an all matching 41 but was used, Serial number G19580 until 2010 and sold it to a gentleman in Quebec.

Meneer jansen,

Ik zie dat de mauser te koop staat op Marktplaats.
met de foto's van deze website.

Klopt dit , of is dit de zoveelste oplichter?

Met vriendelijke groet,

Portuguese K98k addition to list

I have a 1941 Portuguese K98k Serial G12860 all matching. Stock is dirty and dark but all original with Portuguese crest and 1941 on left of buttstock. It was purchased from a veterans family who said he picked it up in France so I'm guessing that makes it GER, NI. Has sling, cleaning rod, sight hood but no matching bayonet. Metal is in great shape

RC 1941 Port F

RC 1941 Port with a divot in the side of the receiver (bullet?). It's missing the correct stock and is remarked 9220 above the date. Import marked. F19055

My Portugise K98

Hi, i am a new User in k98kforum. Very interresting! Actually i am not at Home (on Business Trip). I have four K98. Three are Portugise K98.
First: 1937 E10525.
Second: 1941 H2043
Third: 1941 G17251
At home, i will post more Details and some Pics.
Sorry about my bad english.
Matthias

How can you tell whether a Portuguese 98k has German issue history?

If it is a "RC" (Russian Capture) and got here that way then you can be about sure it is. If it is a Norwegian conversion from the K98ks leftover from the occupation you can be about sure it is. If it is a confirmed legit vet brinback with solid provenance you can be about sure it is. That's about it.
