I had this one out of the safe today and decided to take a couple of pictures. It is a 1940 27 code (Erma), no letter block & Luft marked. It came out of a local show a few years back.

Very nice Erma and fantastic condition too. Love the three digit serial number on this one Peter. Sometimes the best finds are at the local shows and the small ones too.

Look closely, the rod doesn't match. It is marked "03" not "93". It's close and has the correct "280" inspection marking.

I agree, an exceptional example, - and much more elusive e/L (which do not seem to be bunched in blocks like is sometimes discovered).

Dave, I added it. It was in my stash and it seemed appropriate for the rifle. I have several that are proofed (early & late style). Some have a manufacturer's logo too.

It's a great rifle, thanks for sharing it with us! The stock completion date code isn't shown often, in this case the stock is from June 25, 1939.

The muzzle cover is also nice. By the way, it was made by C. Beuttenmüller & Cie. Metallwarenfabrik in Bretten/Baden-Württemberg.
