Hello from Washington State. My father brought home a K98k from WW2. He was an Army Sergeant and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. On his parents 50th wedding anniversary he took me out to his parents garage and showed me some of the stuff he brought back from the War. It was then he gave me a K98k along with wood handle bayonet.

Unfortunately I lost my father in an accident a few years later, when I was 12 years old. Never had a chance or took the time to ask him about his time in the service and how he got the rifle. Years went by and I found out the rifle was missing from my mother's house. I still have the bayonet.

I do remember the 1939 date. Now I'm interested in buying a k98k to replace the one my father gave me.
I came here to educate myself and hopefully find a link to a good collector k98k.
