I figured since I've posted so much in political off topic section it was past time to share. I assume this is the best forum for sharing this 1908 Uruguay Mauser I recently purchased.
It looks to be a re-arsenal that was re-imported by Franconia to Germany. I've never seen one for sale in the States. Thanks to a friend in Germany I was able to purchase it there and will be importing it here. The price was much less than I would expect to have paid here.
It is dated 1910 with a beautiful crest. It is mostly matching except the rear sight is mismatched and the stock number is not present. I'm guessing stock was replaced during re-arsenal because U in circle cartouche on underside is strong. The floor plate is numbered on the inside. Only the bolt handle is numbered not the other parts of the bolt. Not sure if this is how they were made or because they were replacement pieces. If anyone has any info on these it would be greatly appreciated.
