walther G41 AC no date/no letter.

After reading Matt's thread I realized how scarce these apparently are.
I was told about this rifle back in early Dec. and waited till yesterday to see the photos.
One of the finest examples Ive seen.
Of Note: after looking on Claus's site I see it's twin listed # 8237 so its out there somewhere. This one was un-recorded till now.
I was told it came from an old collection in Georgia.
The bluing and walnut on this rifle is what we all strive to see on a top condition rifle. Enjoy.

Very nice Wayne. Thanks for posting. Do you have the chance to buy it?

8000 serial range so still has the numbered hand guard and safety. It is my theory that in the 9000 range they stopped numbering these parts. But I need to see another to confirm my theory.

Please add a few pictures and info to the thread I started below about Walter rifles.

Fantastic. Walnut G41s are probably my favorite among all WW2 semi-autos aesthetically speaking.

41 handguard ...

... i sold this G41 handguard a few months ago. serial number 8613.... must be close to the end of them numbering the handguards,....... clic on pic to enlarge ...

Beautiful looking rifle. It was at Brock's.

#8237 is out there, but I have no further info on it either. It will pop back up someday. A lot of these do.

A very very nice rifle. A quality conditioned one like that is so rare! That's one that should stay on the wall a long time. Thanks for sharing.

I received this rifle into my collection today and I have to say in hand it is stunning. 97-98% blue and everything about it is perfect condition. A few small dings on the wood but all stock marks are crisp and untouched.

Perfect example of a G41.

Thank you Mauser99

Here are pics of the internal areas and the bolt parts. The internal area, feed ramps and bolt area, have almost no wear. The locking lugs had to be coerced out of the bolt carrier and indicates this rifle may have never been disassembled. They usually fall right out from wear.

Really nice example.

Don't mind my socks.
