Hello, this was my first "Mauser ". From my research this was a Turkish army contract 1893. It was later sent back to Germany to be rebarreled for the 8mm. It has a star of david on the side, which I was told was probably rebarreled by the Ludwig Loewe company. It is 100% matching numbers and has the crescent moon stamped on every part including all the screws. Only down side is it has a cracked stock that I need to repair and it was missing the front sight blade.

I have since picked up a few war time Mausers and look forward to learning their history.

Hello, it was rebarreled at Kirikale Arsenal in Ankara, Turkey. This was a pre-1938 conversion of an Ottoman m1893.
