    Default Vz.24 C Prefix 1937

Part of the contracts (P and C prefix) for China and Japan, generally delivered in 1938. Vet bringback with kanji marked sling indicating Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) use, which is the entity these were sold to. Don't know if the Japanese captured them or the Chinese contract was diverted to the Japanese, being allies of the Germans who had taken over Cz.

There is practically no info on these rifles published, and I have passed them by at shows through ignorance....no more. Thanks for the free education.

Andy, so C is Japanese contract and P is Chinese contract? Are there any period records regarding that? In the Czech language are those letters indicative of Japan or China? Thanks for your input!

The P contract goes to high numbers as corespond with china contract, problem is that majority of them captured Japan in WW2 so when they stamped some Kana symbols to butt or sling, the majority of collectors that are the japan contract. C or P dont mean in czech the country name.
