Bought this back in 2005, it was the most expensive rifle I had purchased at the time (4250$). Now it doesn't seem like a lot. Original sling is marked lxh 1943, notice the phosphate steel button on the keeper and the extra stitch along the back of the keeper.

Looks too be a really nice G41 rifle you have. The one rifle I would like too own one day. Most I come across have major problems for alot of money.

But if you want I will gladly give you your $4250 back haha. :biggrin1:

What a wonderful rifle! That probably did seem like a fortune for it in 2005. Thank God someone previously didn't succumb to the urge to 'improve' her. Given the current state of rifle sales I'm pretty sure you can improve on that offer.

No rails-I found I had broken FP. replaced since then. dufflecut not at best shape.

Is this a "g" block or "a" block? I thought it might be an a block at first but the "no scope rails" was telling me that's too early for a non-scope railed receiver.

I believe scope rails stopped late c block, early d block.

In my listings I have the following "no scope rails receivers":

G.41 duv43 #73
G.41 duv43 #1859
G.41 duv43 #779a

These are single rifles only that were reported with no scope rails.

G.41 duv43 #7690d is the first "start" of no scope rails, but it's also a single rifle until you get to G.41 duv43 #1695e where they really start with no scope rails.

We have to be careful because the letter a looks a lot like letter g with duv rifles.
