WZ29 oddity or turd?

The seller bought the unmarked one, marked it, and is now selling it as a WZ29. There's a post of this rifle on Gunboards Mosin Nagant section. It's also appeared on Facebook. The seller also sold another "Radom" rifle recently.

Someone please screen shot the auction with all of the pics cold-busting this turd and the seller. This is pretty bad fraud. Tks

Here's some photos comparing the current rifle for sale to what the rifle looked like when it was originally bought. Notice the patina on the bolt release. It's identical. There is also a small dimple on the receiver above the "1" and the "4" in the serial number. It's noticeable in the photos of the non-humped rifle (red background), but a little harder to see in the photo of the newly humped rifle.

I saw this also popped up on Dave's site with the same suspicions. Another scumbag trying to line his pockets. It's quite nice to see these guys outed.

Willy, thanks, excellent! Guys, could someone please also screenshot the "evidence", the auctions, the bid screens showing the trail and upload them? We need this to preserve the history of the rifle and those involved with it. If we don't, in about 30 days that info is gone and this excellent thread is no longer helpful. Thanks!

FWIW that firing proof is pretty damn good. Where there is money there are people willing to replicate / reproduce goods for the collector w/ more money than brains.....

The one thing that hurts the fraudster / helps the hobby, is they indulge in overkill with meaningless stamps placed everywhere on the metal.....

I can't believe that this guy is ballsy enough to not only fake the rifle, but to do so, then offer the rifle for sale again on the same venue where he acquired it while the rifle's previous auction is still visible. If this seller comes here, he needs to lose his viewing privileges.

He's tarnishing a good name, eh Pisgah?
I believe someone has already reported him to the ATF for altering the serial number.

I got you again hambone.

Original auction. Scrubbed receiver. No Nazi proof. Note the winner, the completed feedback, the action number.

Same gun, after being raped. Note the seller, extra markings.

He would be tarnishing any name he used. His user name should be "scumbag a$$hat" or something similar. I would be pretty happy if he gets a visit from the ATF.

Here's a new development. This was posted on Facebook. I looked at his auction and it appears the dude is getting a little scared. Another person on FB contacted someone in the ATF and received a reply of interest.

He's backpedaling big time. Panic setting in and his grammar proves it.
I'm surprised he didn't post that he got the description from a different faked rifle.
Maybe he'll produce capture papers to prove it's legit.
