S42 1937

Very nice rifle RM! I have one just like it (MMB) and it is one
of my favorites. The walnut stocks with the nice deep markings
are a real turn-on for me.

Beauty of a rifle! Really nice shape, considering it is 1937! This is the year you start seeing the first lam stocks...I have a 1937 "y" block that is in lam, Bruce has an earlier one, a "w" I believe, and another member here posted a "p" block with laminated...so I would guess your "m" is approaching the first of the lams...

Another early one

Love these early ones in great condition. I don't understand why we get 1000 views on a bnz 45 and less on these beauties. Thanks for posting.

Yes indeed, very nice Radomman, thanks for sharing. Added to the pic sticky reference index.

This is about as nice as they get, really a nice rifle.

I agree with Jack, you can never have too many pictures of such rifles, and these are really good images. It is too bad most do not have such abiltiy and a good camera!

I have this same rifle, but in the "y" block with a laminate stock and a mm bolt, matching to itsself. Pristine bore, and excellent blueing. My first attempt at "collecting". I think I'm on the right tract to being a serious collector!

bump

I'm bumping this thread so this guy can see what an un-touched 37 dated k98 stock proof layout should look like,,,
