ODD Piece

I picked this up several weeks ago. I would like your input / opinions. Thank you

I like the vz for what it is: an odd ball. Stock is a E/359 armorer's stock. Fonts on the stock and bands also look ok to me, so I think it's probably a legit repair, wherever it was done.

Your Yugo rifle posted in that thread is actually a Police modified rifle. The notched rear band has Orpo E/B acceptance just above the cut. Hard to find rifle.

It's difficult to say exactly what this rifle is, as it doesn't have depot markings to point to a specific place that did the work. But, I have seen VZ24 rifles in K98k stocks cut back to VZ style, VZ24 stocks on 98k's modified to fit, and other oddities like this rifle. This rifle is what I call a Curio, you may never know exactly what it is or who did it.

Yes, it's pedigree can not be 100% accertained, but IMHO, it is a wartime rework. Certainly not a bubba fantasy piece. As you rightly point out it is a curiosity.......
