Hello gentlemen! Have always liked the variations on German fieldgear, and on the breadbags it is huge variations! Here are my little collections of such. Hope you like them. Regards Arvid

Very interesting! Such variation in both design and execution. I'm thinking they worked off a Heer standard as they saw fit and once accepted just made them. This isn't seen too often within the Reich. Again thanks for sharing a part of your collection!
 
It looks like you have a really nice collection of field gear. What other field gear do you collect? If you have a collection of gas masks I would really like to see that grouping.

I have a question, does the color go with a branch of service or theater of operations? Are there examples of early and late war production? I see that two of the bags have leather reinforcement on the upper straps.
 
Yes, color indicate branch, Blue, and blue/gray were used by Luftwaffe. All shades of green and gren/gray on the pictures were used by Heer. On the early breadbags they used leather reinforcement on upper straps. From 1941 the bags came without this feature, and the quality decreased during the war.
