Jon sent these over and thought it would be cool to post them up for those interested.
These documents primarily cover the sales of the MG151 system to Japan.
Of particular note is the very well assembled marketing booklet for the MG151 with transparent overlays for showing internal features.
Amazing stuff and I am grateful to Jon for sharing his archival material with us.

Bruce, Just for fun to add to the MG part of site I thought the serious folks would like to see some Mauser docs on the Mauser MG 151 aircraft MG. This used normal primed ammo and mid to late war use Eelectric primers etc. This was one of the Better of such weapons that came in a 15mm and 20mm versions that could be right or left feed and small adjustment to loading unit so either caliber could be used with little effort . Rate ov fire was stated at 700 RPM but this was adjustable up to 900 RPM with various types of bullets in 100 round belts that could be fixed together for 3-400 rounds per gun. Barrel life was increased up to 3000 rounds and more. Gun was developed in 1937-39 period. Servicing of weapon was not complicted and repairs could be done rapidly etc.

The documents shown are for sales to Japan who wanted to order 2000 units to re fit into Zeros as main gun but as war got past the 1943 time it was getting harder to sea ship such items so it looks like japan only got around 2-300 units.
1.Contract for 5 MG 151 to Japan Processed throuht the Japan Embassy Berlin
2. Mauser shipping docs Japan showing all items for both calibers and with electric firing mechanisums
3. Spec list

Bruce, to finalize the MG 151 story for Japan here is first page of the Preliminary Contract write up for 2000 MG 151 for Japan as the Japs hoped to fit these into their Zeros to better go after bombers and for ground attack or on ships etc. When the US entered Pacific it became impossible to sea ship so many units in direction of Japan eo this contract was never finalized.
Its interesting the Japs asked for normal ammo with standard primers and not electirc primers. In list you can see mounting units, aircraft electronic loading systems , 1 million belt links and other fittings as well as 200 Maintanence units in their specail cases etc. Both 15mm and 20mm barrels and spare barrels were also ordered etc.. Jon
