1905 ambreg

Barrels original, fits the normal pattern for early Amberg. B probably stands for Böhler (Bismarckhütte is a possibility too, but unlikely because Amberg rarely used them, only a couple wartime rifles show Bismarckhütte use), an Austrian firm, but one that advertised extensively in Germany, including in regards to rifle barrel blanks. You see their adds in period German professional journals. They were Austria's Krupp, and probably nearly as well known... anyway, DWM and Amberg were major users of their products... but all rifle makers used them extensively.
