1916/17 transitional helmet, ET64. The liner was gone except for a little ring of leather and the felt. Turns out the liner I've been sitting on for about 12 years after a restoration came in handy. It is the perfect size.

RG34 made by Appel, undated. Marked spoon, unmarked chain and unmarked late war oiler. Also a RODO SS EM/NCO buckle from the vet's grandson. Came with a really nice size 90 web belt marked Rudolf Conte Nachf. Theodor Seibold, Offenbach A.M. 1942

The decal is a correct style Ed Strache decal which was applied to reissued helmets to include transitional WWI style helmets and WWII M35 helmets.

It is very worn but authentic to the helmet

Thanks for the info. Is there a web site where I can see examples of decals by the different makers?

Nice find but a little correction is needed. If this is a late war oiler, how does an early oiler look for you?
This is a latewar oiler from my collection.

Jim is right, it's a late type oiler.

Good for me.
I thought there were categorised in three groups.
- pre/early war (steel oilers)
- mid war (simplified and phenolic oilers)
- late war (stamped oilers)

Nice pick ups.

Nice pick ups.. buckle is real. That leather is a perfect fit.

I have been looking for a stamped oiler for a long time.
