Questions on a ax41

A collector I know is selling a ax41, a couple of questions first before I make him an offer, rifle is all matching and in excellent condition, I am wondering is this rifle was at a depot for repairs, floor plate is E/37, rear sight is E/214 with all matching numbered parts E/280, 3 stamps in the pistol grip area with the bottom one looking like a depot stamp, any help would be appreciated. If I get the rifle I will do a complete set of pictures for everyone.

Well I have a '41 AX 'c' block and one of the action screws has what appears to me to be the same K16 as is on your keel. Yes, no or am I seeing things?

e/37 parts do show up on butt plates. Both the '40 and '41 have this and I'm not sure I've seen one that was NOT e/37. I've not seen a FP so accepted however.

I can't decipher the stock HZa either, though considering what you show this is very likely a depot rework or repair. While the TG-FP is probably fine (e/37 FP are known in ranges, early 1941 more common), the RS sleeve is not typical and together with that bore measurement a sure sign of a replaced barrel.

I hope you have more (better) pictures of this rifle, because if this is all you have you are essentially buying based upon your relationship to the seller. It would be reckless to buy this rifle if these are the only pictures you have...

Looks like it went to a depot. Tough to see...maybe Kassel?

I agree with Loewe on this more pictures are a must too determine what you have. Need too see pictures of the bolt, barrel bands, etc. Would like too see some better pictures of the floorplate as well. Looks like one of the numbers was renumbered too match. Reworks can be tricky sometimes if your not careful though.

For like the 5th time... Anything on K16? It's either really actually something or fake? I'll take a hypothesis at this point.

Parts certainly look refinished and polished, not typically of the German WW2 rework type. The front action screw looks Yugo. I'd agree I'd need more pics.

Kl6 is a Kassel depot marking, I’ve seen screws marked like this.
