Luger P08 magazine ID help, please

I picked this up, found an exact mag on everyone’s ‘favorite auction site’ described as a ‘1929 Bern 8 Round Double Pinned Bakelite Bottom’, oxidized in areas and quite a hefty price tag.

I wanted you folks, who know much more than most, to check out my pictures and see if this is actually what it is. The Seller told me it was an extra that came with his 42 byf Luger which he had already sold.

I took my chances and paid $20 shipped, figured since new production are more than that and I figured I couldn’t lose too much....wonder what he sold the freakin’ Luger for? [emoji15]

I’m new at all this and especially differentiating or ID’ing fakes vs the real thing.

Thanks for taking a look.... So you think it's a legit Swiss Bern magazine? I'm just trying to get some information because I know very little about these or most of the subjects cussed and discussed here. I've got 3 DWM Lugers but they all have wooden-based magazines.

I have zero desire to sell it so that's absolutely not the intention....now I might have to hunt down a Swiss Bern Luger so I'll have an extra mag.
