337 1940

S/42

Thunda from down unda
Is a rough (ROUGH!) 337 1940 sufficiently uncommoon enough to bother spending around $400 on? It's just a matching barrelled action (bolt is astrawerk and e/749, but is not matching the gun). Floorplate matches, but triggerguard is e/63 (I am hoping somewhere under the putrified and petrified grease there is a luftamt stamp on the action ).

There is a fair bit of micro pitting and roughness over most of it, yet the bore remains excellent (like it was kept in a barn or something). Stock...we won't mention the stock!

$400 isn't bad for a 337/1940. I think I've seen this one if I'm thinking of the same one. I have just about any parts it would need anyway. The micro pitting goes throughout the metal surface so it's consistent anyway.

Yeah, was a little rough for me. It's been for sale for quite a long time. As for trigger guards for it, I only have 5-6 of them.. lol. I might have enough for the future.
