It's a "p" block without doubt and was assembled in 1942 with a subcontracted Astrawerke receiver.

Hi
Finally I got the rifle home. Happy with the deal, even so it is not perfect.
Here is some shots of the bolt group, it is matching to the rifle and to it self, except the cocking piece.
The cocking piece looks like it have been together withe rest of the bolt group for a while.

Even so it is not 100% perfect I liked to buy it, as you stated, it is not the most easy code to find, and furthermore,
as they dont make them any more, it means that we have to chose among those that pop up from time to time.

I told you already, it's a "p" block and was assembled in 1942 with a subcontracted Astrawerke receiver. Even though the code is "duv 41", it's in fact a "duv 42". Thanks for the stock completion date code, my guess was it shows a date end of April beginning of May 1942 and in real it's 5th day of 15th week of 1942, that means April 10, 1942.
The stock completion date code and your barrel code "41 bys 127" fits perfect into the row with the other "duv 42/duv 41" with Astrawerke receiver.
It's also nice you show the barrel bands, your rifle still has the milled front H band, it's short before the transition to the closed milled bands. The transition was in late "p" block of "duv 42/duv 41" respectively "duv 42/bcd 41" and in the "d" block of standard "duv 42" production.
