K98k byf 41 + zf41 base

Hello,

I need your help in authentifying this K98k rifle fitted with zf41 base.

It's a byf 41, with all matching numbers.

I think it's not a factory-manufactured, due to the base configuration : it looks like it has been made by "duv".

So it could be a field conversion (or post war)...

Hello and welcome to the forum. It is fake. Mauser Oberndorf did not start assembling ZF41 rifles until 1943. Still would make for a good shooter if the price is cheap enough.

Also the stock is "new made"

It has miscolorations on the rear sight base. Probably the base was welded on, or too much heat during re-solder process.
