was at the pawn shop looking at a usn mk-2 the clerk pulled out this k98 with the frog said both for $100. offer I could not refuse was not till I got to the car I realized the frog on the k98 was rubber bayonet is clc 1942 number on sheath and blade match 4211 with a magnifying glass I can see maker mark on frog and 1941 date. pretty sure these 2 have always been together. if more pictures are needed let me know. I understand these are rare and valuable I would like to know how rare and is there more info about them out there. on another site someone stated he has seen 2 in 40 years of collecting. was told I should post this here.20180202_154410.jpg20180202_154438.jpg20180202_154422.jpg20180202_154429.jpg20180202_154451.jpg20180202_154400.jpg

Even blurred photo, there is 4211g, which is proper for clc1942, nice Riese rubbertextile frog. b.r.Andy

You got a tremendous deal. I would buy just the matching unsharpened bayonet at $50.00 a piece and feel like I won. Getting it with the rare frog at that price just doubled the deal. I find that bayonets are addicting so watch out.
