Thumbs up G43 duv barrel cap ?????

    Hey guys !
I'm new to the forum and this is the first time
posting a question. I've had this rifle (G43) for
several years and just now rediscovered another
barrel cap in the stock. It's threaded the same but
has a smaller inside diameter with an allen wrench
set screw inside . Is this set up for shooting blanks
possibly ???? That's the only conclusion I come up
with. Thanks to all that reply.

A barrel cap in the stock? I am sure that a picture would help much.

I think he is talking about a screw-on blank fire adapter with narrow orifice to allow the G43 to cycle when shooting blanks (it's a reenactor thing).

    Gunkraut, nahpatronen,
Thanks for the replies . Gunkraut , so my suspicions were correct,
it is for firing blanks. I did buy it from a guy that was into WW2
living history but he was into the Italian end of things !!! I have several more WW2 German weapons with lots of questions . I'll post them ,with pictures, in the appropriate sections soon.

Thanks guys, you've been a big help !
