Sorry, but I do not have any better pictures.

I would pass on both, the first one is missmatch of late 44sgx riveted production that was already cleaned wrongly from rust on blade and crossguard, in earlier 42 asw scabbard.
Second one is a grey ghost 44asw in ff range but damaged by adding of blueing on the piece, same as mismmatch 44cvl scabbard. b.r.Andy

Thanks alot for the answer Andy. :happy0180:

I am not very hooked on these, but thought if I should make an offer, but your answer made me change my mind.

How rare are the riveted grips bajonetts, if you have two nice late war bajonetts and they are worn more or less the same,
what about the price level for those, will the sgx / asw with the riveted grips cost some more or much more than those with screws and nuts?

Regards

Firstly the comparable prices are avialable on internet, should be looked to Ebay,
-the 44 sgx with riveted grips are going about 100/150USD higher as normal price for matching, it depends on real pieces condition and value of seller
-the grey ghost also 44asw ff and gg range would go mutch more above 400USD, teoretically by low price, You could remove blueing on the piece and restore on the piece the phosphating, by price under 100 it would be real even missmatch
-The other makers 44 dated production as obviously mint and matching should be higher priced as well used prewar pieces of 1937/39 period or early war S84/98 bayonets .
I personally wouldnt buy a missmatched pieces of late war,
-same as heavy used pieces or with patina pieces are always better for collection as wrong way cleaned missmatches

They are not rare by any means as tens of thousands were produced. They are however very desirable. For whatever reasons many collectors want an example of these riveted grip variations.

My only suggestion is, only purchase pieces that are matching, unsharpened, and in at least very good original finish. If I had to give on any of those three criteria, it would be condition.
