New guy with question

I'm the owner of a bring back CE 43 that is all matching except for the stock. The original owner decided to sporterize that which I quickly rectified. My question is...My rifle has a brownish hue to all of the metal, but not the barrel. I'll get photos as soon as I can. Any ideas? I've owned it since around 1999 and actually hunt with it. It is extremely accurate and I've taken quite a few deer with her.

I believe in the bluing processes, color variations could vary from black to a plum color. Most likely that's what you are seeing, just difference in the bluing. Some pics would help ;-)

Here's some pics of her. The sporterized stock and aftermarket scope mount and sniper safety lever on it.
