Great photo! Looks like maybe some other booty as well. German gas mask can up on the ledge. Wonder what else is up there?
 
Very cool! Is that spiderweb of cabling on the crucifix communication wires?

I did some Googling and this location is still quite recognizable:

Sure is. The same tagging methods still in effect today. I'm guessing some headquarters above a battalion based on the number of lines. The modern photos are great too! Really amazingly unchanged.
