K43 qve 45 VOPO

I recently sold this rifle. It was a double as I had a nicer example within 1000 serial numbers. I bought it with some grainy photo's but the price was right. When I received it in the post on Friday with a MM K98, I was pleasantly surprised. The rifle was a 100% correct VOPO, but unlike many VOPO rifles that are near mint - this one had honest wear/patina and some parts appeared phosphate versus re-blued.
One question was there is a triangle in sling cut out on the right side. Often I've seen similar triangles on Yugo stocks. Was this rifle perhaps used in Yugo service post war? We will likely never know. The new owner bought both rifle and a mint un-issued Polish M44. I am pretty sure he will be happy with all three rifles. The K98 was a bcd 4 with matching trigger guard and mag plate and original blue. The bolt was Czech and the stock likely Yugo - so either a put together or early Czech/Yugo capture - still nicer than an RC.

Also interesting as the mag was electro-penciled twice to match. I have seen at least two examples of this in my travels.

Other interesting point is the stock cut out for the scope rail wasn't cut out enough to accommodate a scope. I tried an original 359, 214, repro and Czech mount and none fit. So obviously this rifle was never a sniper.
