    O.k. good to know. Because the can eBay looked spot on to me. Can't see much of the can in the one picture in the OP.

    Likely you are looking at the 'hinge' makers mark. This symbol is often reproduced but often the forget an upside down 'U' hidden within that symbol - which is almost a sure way to identify a can as being legit or not - at least for zf41's.

    However, in the days of yore WWII German battery boxes had the same hinge and were cheap, so there was a cottage industry of borrowing hinges and adding them to cans.
